Hedge Planting at Frolesworth Road Cemetery

Broughton Astley Parish Council would like to extend a huge 'thank you' to Broughton Astley Volunteer group (BAVG). Jo Johnson and a team of volunteers very generously gave their time and energy to plant 600 hedge whips at Frolesworth Road Cemetery. Not only do the new hedges enhance the landscape of the cemetery, hedgerows are also an extremely valuable habitat for wildlife, providing food and shelter for insects, birds and other animals, as well as forming corridors that permit wildlife to move between habitats. We really do appreciate this community effort to make Broughton Astley a greener, more pleasant place to live.
