Recreation Ground Slide Damage

We were very disappointed to see that the newly refurbish steps to the big slide were vandalised just a few days after completion.

New AstroTurf was ripped off the steps and taken away. The AstroTurf at the side of the slide was marked and the slide itself was covered in a sticky substance, believed to be Fairy Liquid and mud thrown on top. The handrail to the side of the new steps was also ripped from its post at the top.
Following initial repairs the steps were then vandalised again the next night with the remaining AstroTurf being removed.

Repairs have now been carried out at additional cost and we hope that this incident is not repeated.
